STATEMENT FROM SCOTT OSTRANDER ON MILTON SUPERVISORS BUDGET
PROPOSAL THAT INCLUDES A 89.5 PERCENT TAX INCREASE –
“I am completely shocked by the Zlotnick budget proposal that includes a whopping
89.5 percent tax increase on our Milton community. While our families and businesses
are still reeling from the impacts of the COVID shutdown and the rising costs of food
and fuel we simply cannot raise taxes. An 89.5 percent tax increase on the backs of
hardworking Milton residents is unfathomable. Supervisor Zlotnick’s years of gross
mismanagement is costing Milton taxpayers and it shows through this monstrosity of a
budget proposal. Whether it’s shutting off the heat in town hall leading to costly flooding,
displacing our seniors or now proposing a crushing tax increase, Benny Zlotnick is a
disaster for the hard working families of Milton.”
